“Hidden Secrets – The Nightmare” is a pretty cool game in which you’ll travel into the main character subconscious, helping her to get through her nightmares. The game begins with an introduction to the story. It turns out that our protagonist – a young wife and mother – has won the lottery. When she’s getting ready to go out and celebrate with her friend, something mysterious happen. Of course you don’t get to see what it is, because the whole idea of the game is to find clues and help her find out what happened. So, let’s know how you’re going to do that.
The game itself basically consists on looking and picking items from different locations, following a list provided by the game. You have to look the scenes very carefully, trying to find the items on the list. When you see an item, just click on it to update the list. In order to finish the level you have to find all the items on the list. The first scene is in the hospital. You’re (the protagonist) laying on a hospital bed and you don’t know why you’re there. In each level, you have to find the “special clue” to finish it.
When you first enter the game, you’ll get to the main menu with the following options on it:
- Profile: After you create one or more players, they’ll be saved. When you enter into this submenu, you’ll be asked for a name as a new player. It’s possible to have a list of different players and record their performance. This way, you can play home tournaments with family and friends.
-Start: this option leads you right to the introduction to the game, which you can skip at any time. Then you’ll get to the first scene. You will see some hints on your first steps, which is the easiest way to learn how to play the game. If you already know how to play, just turn off the hints and keep playing.
- Mini Games: this option give you access to some complementary games. At the beginning all these mini games are locked. You have to achieve some goals on the regular game in order to unlock the mini games.
- Options: this is the menu from which you can set some game options like sound volume, music volume, voice over volume, autopause, and full screen.
- Exit: no further explanation required.
While you’re playing the game, you can always click on the Menu button to access to a pop-up menu with these options:
- Exit: to abandon the game and go back to the main menu.
- Help: to see some help information about the game.
- Options: to access the options menu.
